as usual, funny things happen on duel net...so many weird stunts around.

funny stunt #1: a player used shien and ram into my ryko. he threw squire and stoned. i told him only can dodge battle destruction then he took it back. next turn he normal summon squire, ss grandmaster. i told him cannot, he quit game.

funny stunt #2: book of moon my absolute zero and ram into it with a monster and destroy it by battle and argue that his monsters wont get destroyed because he destroyed it face down.

funny comment #1: i summon neos alius in addition to a raiou on my field and he said i was nub and that i shouldnt summon so many cos i should be afraid of dark hole. "im trying to teach u" he said. when i was actually luring his stupid traps/dark hole so i can miracle for game. in the end he avarice and really draw dark hole and used it on me by i miracle for game then he still lost. he claimed hes some pro tcg tourney regular. i cudnt care less.

realized that there are so many arrogant players on dn. kind of irritated by their fail rulings but cant be bothered to copy and paste ruling text for them. just press a.s.s for idiots like them.

didnt play for quite awhile cos i was quite traumatised over my super fail six sam luck that made me lose like a dog few weeks back. six sam doesnt love me =( so i decided that i shall play birds lol.

game 1: went first and had a monster hand. summoned shura and had 2 kaluts in hand. he summoned mizuho + grandmaster and didnt choose to destroy my shura. he attacked with grandmaster and i dropped kalut, searched gale and he used mizuho to atk my gale, dropped another kalut and then advantage from there.

game 1: his lp were a big diff from mine, and he was left with 2 dual sparks and nothing else and he scooped.

game 2: he super polyed my alius with his raiou and he had no set traps. i miracle fusioned into a bigger shining and rammed into his shining. he didnt have anything to kill my shining and died.

game 1: the same thing i do when i vs bf, just play lor.

game 2: i pot of duality and chose torrential and set. on his turn, he had 1 bf in grave and his shura hit into my monster and search vayu. he said sync catastor then i chain torrential on his sync,then he took out an android, i asked him why he take out android and then he said "oh i didnt say aehh ohh jay" i was like whatever u have damudo then so be it. so he did summon damudo and destroyed my life.

game 3: nvm revenge.

game 3: solemned his catastrophe and he trunade me = die.

Conclusion: 2nd
so there was a loop cos keat lost to wen long and so i played with keat keat again and lost. then i played with wen long again and won, and keat won him so the loop stopped. so in conclusion i got 2nd and won a gold brionac, but i topped keat $6 and traded it for his stardust holo so i feel quite satisfied. i didnt really want to pay the $6 though =( nvm at least have prize aha.

game 1: he didnt draw icarus and shining + something else kept whacking him

game 1: had 3 alius in hand and he had raiza and something else. died.
game 2: wang hu + dual spark on his dandy = quite earn.
game 3: 2 dual sparks + wang hu!!!

game 1: nearly owned me when he used cylinder twice on my 3.5k shiningman. But somehow managed to win.
game 2: super poly on his gokuen for the final blow!!

game 2: jujitsu master stunned my airman. then got owned.
game 3: i think i had all the answer to his cards, bottomless + dprison + spark. great hand.

Conclusion: First place yay. won a stardust 3d that i sold off in 10mins.

building on a budget?

hey dudes, lennon here again. recently i've made a declarer deck, and because i do not own 3 copies of the pot of awesumnez (some one please sell it to me please), i have been forced to make some rather interesting substitutes to, well, substitute the pot. i liken the declarer deck to the Varanis Bitterstar deck in World of Warcraft tcg, or the Big Blue deck in Magic: The Gathering tcg. you basically negate and negate and negate and negate till you can pull of your win condition. to do that, in the declarer's case, you need a large angel filled hand. here's my funky substitutes.

yesyes, i didn't "invent" this tech. i just found it useful. not taking credit for what i DIDNT do, one of my finer virtues. EHEM, MOVING ON. you may have heard of this being packed in declarer decks for the reuse of cloudian smoke balls who happens to be a water type monster. if you intend to pack this card, the normal monster line up you pack should kinda look like this

1x Dunames the Dark Witch
1x Spirit of the Harp
3xMystic Shine Ball
3xCloudian Smoke Ball

when you have both this card and dark factory in hand, and salvage has a legal target, please use this card 1st. the other yellow skins arent water types, sadly.

i made the deck and drew several hands, and found that 2 copies of this card is just the right amount. enough to annoy the shit out of your opponent, not enough to result in a constant bad draw. im not saying there arent times when you go "SHIT OMFG WHY IS THIS CARD HERE WHERE IS MY SMOKE BALL", but times dont come by a lot. well, unless you have baha luck.then. uh. MOVING ON.

i've been racking my brains for a card that can replace pot. i've considered cards like card destruction, reload, magic mallet etcetc, but i realize on thing, those cards reduces your hand size by one. cards like upstart goblin are ok at keeping the number of cards in hand the same, but going through one card isn't enough. what makes pot legendary is its ability to go through 3 cards, and allowing you to pick one. this opens up a lot of options for the player. so after much thought i, i think this card might do it

its just like allure, for normal monsters. with 8 targets, i think charity shouldnt be a dead card in most situations. lets do a comparison, shall we?

COMMONER'S CHARITY VS ALL THE RANDOM DRAWING/RESHUFFLING/REFRESHING HAND CARDS

commoner's charity is a +/- 0 whereas stuff like magic mallet is a -1. it wins, in my opinion.

COMMONER'S CHARITY VS STUFF THAT DOESN'T REDUCE YOUR HAND SIZE, BUT ONLY ALLOWS YOU TO DRAW ONE CARD

commoner's charity draws two. wins.

okok, down to serious business

Pot of Duality/Greederosity/BaoChoon
Pros:
1)can be used the turn it is drawed

2)good in cases when you've already landed declarer, and now looking for immediate options/angel cards to stock up/your win con

3)filters through 3 cards. thats one more than Commoner's Charity, which i will call CC now, cuz its freaking troublesome to spell Commoner's Charity over and over. damn it, i made me spell it twice.

4) never a dead card. as in, you can always use it, anytime.

5)so. shiny.

Cons:

1)if used in the situation whereby you are looking for your declarer to land, its not much different from CC. (yes, i dont have to spell Commoner's Charity again. wait. DAMN IT)

2)stopped by Raiou the bitch.

AND THE BIGGEST FLAW
its going at 40 bucks a piece or higher, and its freakin hard to find.

Commoner's Charity
Cons:

1) you have to set it for a turn before using it.

2) might become a dead draw

Pros:

1) can't be stopped by raiou the bitch

2) ITS COSTS LIKE, WUT, A DOLLAR? well, unless people start buying all the CCs everywhere and cause an inflation. important thing is, its a cheap subsitute for your pot. or rather, your lack of pot.

i WOULD post the decklist out, but im afraid it would scrub. will test it out, and if reactions are good, i'll post the deck list! till next time then

YEUS! tested infernity against spore lords. good score of 3 games outta 5 games. i think the decklist can be improved though.

game 1: the usual. u know.
game 2: died to vayu and stuff

Match 2 vs Dimension Eatos ( Clarence) OO-
game 1: i managed to get rid of all his monsters and he didnt draw any and i just beat him down.
game 2: i drew super poly twice. once i polyed into shining. the final finisher was when i polyed my alius with his barbaros into gaia and beat for win.

Match 3 vs Lightlord (Jin Hao) OO-
game 1: i started with dual spark, miracle fusion, e-call, future fusion, miracle fusion and hero blast. hard to lose with such a good hand haha.
game 2: i super polyed into gaia with his grow up bulb to stop him from syncing trishula. subsequently just beat down his monsters. i top decked oppression and set and negated his judgments and stuff and won.

Proceed to top 8

Match 4 vs Frog Monarch (Sam) XOX
game 1: he gave me a hand of 2 hero blast 1 miracle fusion and 2 book of moon . and when i drew e-call he aoi me -.-
game 2: wang hu + shining beat and he jumped gorz i chained solemn warning. then he scooped.
game 3: died to gorz when i used wang hu to atk him.

Fight for the 5th and 6th placing in bottom 8

Match 5 v Infernity (Richard) OXO
game 1: i drew dual spark, ocean, and 3 miracle fusions. i mind trick by setting all 3 miracle fusions. he had demon, necromancer and beetle in grave as well as a grepher on the field. he cry of the living dead demon back, searched for mirage and normal summoned it. pulled back beetle and necromancer. beetle sac for 2 more beetles then he straight away tune necro + beetle + demon for mist wurm without using necromancer's effect. he bounced my 3 set miracle fusions. so after that he realised that he made mistake. subsequently i drew e-call and i managed to beat him down. lucky me lol.
game 2: he had mirage + everything in grave + he infernity break my holy light = scoop
game 3: i negated his trishula with raiou. next turn i miracle fused absolute zero and reborned my raiou and beatdown.

Fight for 5th placing
Match 6 vs Plant Zombie (HOHOHO joseph) OXO
game 1: hero rush him + raiou
game 2: he was left with 1k+ lp and had an atk position goblin zombie. i summoned alius and it got bottomlessed. then next turn i summon honest with another one in hand and didnt dare atk because i knew he had mirror force. then he sac caius and out my honest and direct me for win. i guessed correctly that he had mirror force set.
game 3: i only remember the last part. he synchroed mental sphere and rammed into my alius and i dropped 2 honests :)

Conclusion: 5th. Won a stardust ultra as prize. overall quite satisfied because i think my deck is quite consistent. Hope when i come out after 2 weeks i can maintain this performance.

i personally find that playing pot at 3 has significantly hastened the deck. the reason i play 2 hero blast, instead of the normal 1, is due to 3 pot which helps me search for dual spark/alius. i did not play crusader because i find that the bad hand rate is quite high. Ok, to the army then!

game 1: had a really great hand of airmans and stuff and just beat down.
game 2: sided holy light and drew it. he got locked down.

game 1: i only remembered the end. i had gorz in hand, as well as a divine warning. i had bottomless and solemn face down. i controlled no monsters nor did i have any other monsters in hand besides gorz. neither did he. so he top decked gale and i cudnt kill it or summon gorz because of my set cards and died :(
game 2: didnt really draw sided cards but i rmb divine warning helped
game 3: the same as game 2

Match 4 vs Plant Zombie (Joseph) OXO
game 1: Raiou and stuff + i divine warning his caius = win
game 2: i sided holy light and wanghu. i summoned holy light, the next turn he summoned grow up bulb and whacked it -.- subsequently he milled dandy using grow up and i lost.
game 3: he milled dandy with grow up again =.= he lightning vortexed my raiou and i reborned it back. finally after i used 2 bottomless on 2 of his zombie masters, he top decked carrier and tribute for caius to rfg my raiou. many many games of stalling until i top decked miracle fusion to hit into his caius to deplete his 600 lps.

Match 5 vs Bf (Caleb) OO-
game 1: my airman got divine warning-ed. i still had enough resources to beat him down with shining..
game 2: he was left with 6k+. i reborned my airman. searched for alius. normal summon alius. used future fusion to dump ocean and alius to grave. used miracle fusion for a shining and had a solemn set to counter his single trap card and won.

Match 6 vs Bf (Vishal) OXO

game 1: the usual boring hero beat beatdown. yes i do notice hero is getting really boring cos always same combo LOL.
game 2: made a mistake when i didnt use solemn on his oppression which he used to negate my future fusion because i had hero blast and dual spark in hand. then he had gorz already on the field and kept beating me with it.
game 3: i had all the answers, dual sparks + hero blast. the best hand in the world.

Conclusion: 1st! finally got a trishula as a prize! haha i guess this is my parting gift to the army. i'll be coming back for more when i book out after 2 weeks. On a side note, almost all my opponents used bf LOL, so i guess im quite lucky :) Im not sure if anybody wants the decklist for the hero beat, if anybody wants, please do leave a comment, otherwise i wont post it. MVP card of the day was really solemn warning. really helps when ur opponent sets an icarus and they cant chain it. also helps to counter gorz. all in all a really gay card. Thanks to alex for reminding me the importance of this card LOL.

hey guys, lennon here with you. i've been toying around with an infernity decklist and finally had time to test it out these past few days. would say it worked the way i expected it to. so this is for all the people out there who still won't give up on infernities. here we go.

yes well, obviously its slower, but with cards like one for one, hellway, monster reborn and call, you can up to 3 synchros to hit him. then demon searches for infernity break which you then set to control your opponent.

basically play goes like this:
if you are confident of an otk, land a splendid rose, which you will use as synchro fodder for beetle to make some 8star monster. then land another splendid rose, which would be able to activate its effect and hit for 3.3k

if not, make a stardust to protect your other monsters while setting infernity break, hoping to finish your opponent off the next turn

if not make your demon search for a mirage,and prepare for round 2.

okok i know pots are extremely expensive and rare. but they make the deck stable. alternatively you could try stuff like reckless greed, but i dont think it'll be the same.

to the trolls who're gonna go : ZOMG NOOB YOU BE TEH SPECIAL SUMMON DEK! POT STOPS CHUU YOU SCRUB

i have this to tell you: welcome to the real world, bad hands happen, combos dont always fall into your lap.its good to have a way to get out of dead ends.

im not saying that you HAVE to pack pots. im just saying they make the deck run smoother. alternatively you could run one more hellway patrol, one more infernity inferno and one ultimate offering. ultimate offering gives you a loop option, and saves your ass on occassions when you draw one too many monsters. bad thing is, its a continous trap. oh and against trapbased decks, mist wurm is your best friend.

the deck did fairly well against decks that are NOT declarers, gbs or bfs. against these 3 decks, much side decking is required. or else its really a uphill better, will post a good sideboard once i've tested it out.

hello kids! it is i, your favorite lennon. the blog's been dead for a pretty long time. i decided to do a quick update, to pacify what fans we have left. the other author of this blog, mr gabriel chang, is enlisting in the army very soon. in light of his "demise" , i shall take a vow to take part in more tourney's to keep the spirit of pampers alive

ON TO THE IMPORTANT STUFF.

ITS A NEW META! the banlist this time around is, well, plain weird. we won't be seeing cats anymore, and prolly less of infernities as well. bfs remain relatively untouched and black hole is just win.

quite happy with this meta, cuz the chaos allows decks of all types to surface and fight for supremacy, unlike the times when tele dark arm raped all.

list of decks i think are awesome and most likely be run.
1) BF (relatively untouched, 3 god birds still rape)
2) Hero Beat
3) Perfect Herald (its seriously very very annoying)
4) GB (the yugioh cockroach)
5) Lightlord (IT RETURNS!)
6) everything else under the sun, gigaviseplant, metabeat, quickdrawdandywarrior(which is supposed to be THE SEX this meta, according to our friend weewee from poweroffire), scrap, machina gadget

thats why i like this meta, you never know whatcha gonna get, and ever well thought out deck stands a decent chance. so why bother listing? im just stating what decks i've been seeing more, and what im kinda sorta afraid of. what am i packing? well, having spent so much time on infernity, im not gonna give up just cuz they took 2 guns away. i laugh in the face of adversity! but on a serious note, infernities, although not as fast as they used to be, can still be played this meta. otk-ing is still very real. i might make some other decks to toy around with too. well, untill next time then.

game 1: royal tribute killed me.

game 2: massive stalling for 20+ turns. then i ran out of resources + he royal tribute + stelle owned me.

Match 2 vs Scrap (Yong Siang old man version) XOO

game 1: he had 3 geartown.. died..

game 2: beat him down til death. nothing special.

game 3: all i remember was him tuning 2 scrap stuff into gigatech fighter. i had 1 airman and 1 alius on the field and 1 mirror force set. i was wondering why he didnt want to synchro scrap dragon then he wud have won. turns out that his 2 remaining cards in hand were monsters so he had no spell/traps to set to destroy my mirror force. he rammed mirror force and next turn hero rush him.

game 1: duals sparks + hero blast + miracle fusion i had all the answers :)

game 3: super polyed my face up snowman with his alius before he can do anything yummy. so i had 2 absolute zero on the field. he had 1 airman and 1 alius and 1k+ lp. so first abso zero hits airman and deals dmg then activated hero blast on his alius and zero direct for win :D

game 1: dual spark + hero blast + miracle fusion = too much advantage

game 2: sided wanking tiger wanghu. but rammed it into snowman fml. subsequently cydra got rid of snowman and he reborned a dandy. so i reborned my wanking tiger to ram into his dandy and no irritating tokens for him. cydra direct him. then summoned raiou and next turn he saw his full spell hand and scooped.

But sadly again i had to go off early due to family dinner LOL. I just joined tourney for fun actually. So let baha up on the condition that we share prize. i got an english chimeratech fortress dragon as prize so i think at least i managed to earn back my entry fee lulz

game 3: quite a tough match. i drew 3 pot of duality the whole game and was trying to filter cards to draw into super poly because his drill warrior was irritating. in the end i revealed dprison and he used junk archer to lure my dprison out but i didnt use. the next turn neos jr hit into junk archer and dropped honest. then his drill warrior came back and took back dandy, then after that i sparked him after he took the dandy back. was still hoping to draw super poly in case anything bad will happen, but i drew it too late.... cydra + honest + shinyman beat for game anyway =D

Match 3 vs Hero beat mirror match (Jeff)

game 1: i drew 3 cydras== . wasnt a really good thing cos i had miracle fusions in my hand which was useless. died.

game 2: future fusioned and dumped fusion materials to grave. set hero blast. 2 turns later he mst away my future fusion before i can summon absolute zero. nvm. still wasted one of his mst LOL. mst is gay == . basically we kept top decking monsters and countering each other with btmless and dprison. then finally i had an ocean on the field which i used monster reborn to revive. he normal summoned neos alius. and after he didnt change dual spark or anything, i quickly super poly away lol. in the end i found out that he also had super poly but he chose not to use first because he was guessing whether i had super poly or not. so i recycled neos jr after shinyman died and won.

game 3: he drew monsters, i didnt draw that many. died :(

so in conclusions i had 2 wins 1 lose in swiss. then mantis stupid fooked up pairing system placed me 11th place and i didnt make it into the top 8 ._. but anyway i was so inspired to play infernity after i saw banana play infernity and got so far with it today. maybe i'll play it next week :)

2) I sold away 2 ultra old print monster reborns for $5 each last year fml.
3) Everybody is going to set 5 cards and think they are safe then get delta crowed during end phase lulz

5) Going to try new infernity build for fun because no one will laugh at me for using 1 trishula anymore

Match 1 vs Black knight XX-

game 1: first hand consisted of 2 alius and 1 e-call. so i ecalled and searched for airman into another alius. Then the next turn i drew another e-call. scrub.

game 2: sided alot of stuff. in the end drew too many traps and dd crow which cannot stop his monster assault.

Match 2 vs Light aeroplane beat OO-

game 1: was despo to stay in the game, so i rushed all the way and won.

game 2: he was down to around 4k. so i miracle fused into mr shinyman and normal summoned a snowman eater. then i used shinyman to hit and then super poly with snowman for absolute zero and hit again for win.

Match 3 vs quickdandy warrior OXO

game 1: cant really rmb.

game 2: black rose spam and reuse on me owned me.

game 3: miracle fused 2 absolute zeros ,which both died terribly but also brought his field down together with it. then just normal hero rushing ftw.

game 1: had early advantage due to timed torrential tribute to clear his field and he was left with no hand. so i used alius to hit him for a few turns. subsequently he top drawed demon and searched gun and zomg.

Match 1 vs Lightlords (William)

Game 1: Lots of dual sparks and miracle fusions and i won somehow.

Game 2: I had dimensional fissure on the field, and summoned another neos to attack his face up lumina. He bottomlessed my another neos, so i chained super polymerization on his lumina and kept beating him down with shiningman and won somehow.

Match 2 vs Six Samurai (Cantrmbname)

Game 1: The usual dual sparks flying/ miracle fusions/ another neos recycling for win.

Game 2: He had gateway and stuff and i managed to btmless his 1st grandmaster, dprisoned away the 2nd. Then he summoned the third together with shien and rush me and i died =(

Game 3: Was actually gonna die due to his grandmaster rush. Eventually realised that my sided oppression had no use against his grandmaster....crap...noob play from me here. But in the end it helped against his shien as well as some six samurai trap that special summons 2 sams to his field. Managed to draw 3 smashing grounds throughout the game to prevent his monsters from beating me down to death. Finally ended the game with a top deck-ed miracle fusion into Mr Shinyman.

So i made it to the top 4 cos not many people joined and the top 4 agreed to share a box of duelist revolution. Got a crappy psychicker, so i opened the 2nd prize which was a 2010 starter deck and took junk destroyer xD

Then after that i went down to khatib with lennon to realise that there were no free seats for us to have casual matches so we sat on the floor and played awhile and eventually went to macs to play with amosman, aaron and jinhao. Filmed some vids with Amos.

Game 1: omg now i understand how irritating token farming can be. I wish heroes had a trampler T_T

Game 2: sided skill drain, oppression, dfissure. Basically max hatred was sided in, but didnt draw. Won anyway.

Game 3: I was down to 400 lps after i used oppression a couple of times as well as skill drain. He had that irritating treeborn frog to tank my hits with raiou til he topped deck caius and removed my raiou. From there it was a matter of top decking my smashing grounds and dual sparks. Eventually when i was down to 400 lps, he used his treeborn frog to attack me but i dprisoned it away. Didnt draw any monsters thereafter. He summoned a dandylion and kills me with it =(

Game 1: Good hand. The same old same old trishula x 3 thingy.

Game 2: An otherwise good hand with a possibility of a 2nd turn otk. I set infernity inferno and raigeki break, setting up my otk. But he tribute summoned jinzo and i cudnt dump my infernities into the grave with infernity inferno and died ==

Game 3: Very big misplay here. Should have won but did not realise that i had an otk condition and lost. I started out with grepher, beetle and hellway patrol in hand. So i set hellway on the first turn, which got destroyed. Subsequently i summoned grepher to dump beetle and dumped demon from deck into grave, my grepher got destroyed after that. The next turn i drew demon instead of using hellway's effect to special summon it and search out gun to otk, i went to set it ==. so i lost due to this stupid noob mistake.

Hope i wont make anymore noob mistakes in the future =(

Lennon's epic excuses for lack of posts:

1) Lennon just started poly and loves going to school more than playing yugioh. In fact, i havent met him for 2 months, i think.

2) Lennon is sick of playing Bf, infenity, gb and gadgets. Honestly, thats like almost all the decks that make up the current meta lol.

Gabriel's more convincing excuses for lack of posts:

1) No inspiration because lack of new deck ideas

2) My current main deck is still incomplete due to lack of cards, lack of testing, etc..

3) I have an infernity deck as well, but tragically i only have 1 trishula. As such i will not try to be a hero.

4) I may or may not buy another 2 trishulas.

BUT!

I do intend to join some cdl qualifiers soon cos i missed the chance to do so last year. And honestly, my recent tourney results havent been up to standard either lol. The only time i actually managed to consistently get to top 8 every tourney was during the time i was playing ddb bf, before i started this blog. Which is sad.

Labour day tournament report

Match 1 (swiss) vs Permission deck (Marcus) OO-

Game 1: kept god bird-ing his traps and applied beatdown and won.

Game 2: He sided swallop flip so i didnt dare to tag my gladial beasts. Subsequently surprised him when i summoned shura to whack him and the usual icarus abuse/equeste x 3 recycling each other for massive advantage.

Match 2 (swiss)vs Magoshin (Kenneth) OO-

Game 1: the usual god bird/equeste recycling/chariot and won.

Game 2: sided 3 dd fissure,2 ddcrow and 2 oppression. drew 1 fissure and 1 oppression. he raigeki breaked my fissure and synchroed unicor to try to control me. Oppressioned his unicor. Applied the usual beatdown after that.

Match 3 (swiss) - no more swiss cos i have 2 wins

Top 4 - first match - BF (Bao Chun) OXX

Game 1: I summoned sirroco and he activated btmless and i chained icarus. Then after much confusion whether i was playing bf or gb, i summon equeste and did beatdown after that. I think its more accurate to call my deck a winged-beast beat lol.

Game 2: couldnt really rmb,but had quite a bad hand. Drawing sirroco and 2 chariots. Further into the game, i was leading. I contact fused a gyzarus, he had 1 bora and 1 set trap, i was afraid of starlight road cos it was so damn foil so i only destroyed his bora. Then i attacked and ate his mirror force =.= Then didnt have monsters and died.

Game 3: lost many monsters to btmless/dprison. so i had my last monster darius ramming into his gale. i was down to 5.2k and him 2k if i rmb. He used dprison upon my battle declaration. I solemned his dprison, he chained his own solemn. =.= Subsequently during his turn he special summoned his bora with his already present gale and i activated torrential tribute. He chained starlight road =.= Without anymore options, i scrubbed.

Overall i think my performance today was quite alright. Though there was a bit of inconsistency, but i still managed to squeeze my way through during swiss. One thing i noticed was that the surprise element of summoning bf monstes actually worked. Thanks to yeow keat(who won today using mgs) for giving me that idea. I had a casual match where i summon sirroco and the next turn i set hoplomus. The opponent thought that i set a vayu so he went to ram into my hoplomus lol.

Sad thing was that the whole of today, i didnt draw rescue cat for any of my matches.

Might join tomorrow's tournament at khatib.

Anyway heres the decklist for today since i doubt i will use it again since its partly just for fun (although it worked quite consistently more than it did for me when i used a normal gb build)

Im rather lazy to explain how to play it. Basically if you know how to perform the old zombie loop, you should be able to do the legion/trishula/d.d.r/cerberal combo as well. Consistency is not quite there. But the loops are definitely performable. Might look into the addition of gold sarc because gold sarc-ing into trunade or pro storm is as satisfying as bringing megan fox home and introducing her as your girlfriend to your mum.

In addition to the gallis ftk deck, may i also suggest the addition of:

Earth
Lvl 4
Rock/effect 1900/1300

This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card can only be spcial summoned by removing from play 1 Earth monster in your graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, destroy all spell and trap cards on the field.

Easy cost fulfillment. Summon this during main phase 1. Hit into a larger monster, destroy your opponent's backrow. Or u can hit into a shura and make him consider if he should use his qalat. Main phase 2, start ur loop without any hindrance.

Oh, but what about starlight road?

My reply to you is:

Spell striker: my old decklist only runs 5 spells. thats not much target for spell striker.

my black knight is full monster based now, so theres no risk of milling a spell.

another added point is that i can mill dark monsters for dark creator, as well as light monsters for chaos sorceror.

level warrior: if u are using it s synchro fodder with birdman, heres a scenario:

summon level warrior when i dont control monsters, birdman bounce level warrior, then? To suit black knight, i did think of maining evil hero infernal prodigy, which fuels dark creator, but removed it due to it being redundant.

vice dragon: 2 cyber dragons + 3 gallis +2 diabolicguy is enough fodder for 3x birdman + 3 caius. i dont want my hand clogged with "special summon when your opponent controls no monsters" kind of cards, same goes for level warrior.

Maruding captain: yes this is a possible main deck card, but my normal summons are usually 'sets'. black knight decks usually have alot of monsters to set throughout the game, the usual being tomato, ryko, spy, sangan..etc..

An ending note about playing too many "when you control no monsters and your opponent controls a monster(s), you can special summon this card"..
Monsters that are usually played in a black knight deck usually leave u with at least 1 monster at the start of your turn (i'll call these 'brought-over monsters). An example of such monsters are gravekeeper's spy and mystic tomato. At the start of your turn after your opponent has rammed into your spy or tomato, you would probably have a searched sangan or another spy on the field. Having your hand clogged with special summon monsters such as level warrior/vice dragon/cyber dragon will be the death of you.

PS: With regards to the whole concept about the birdman/gallis/core chimair doom loop, credit goes to a Japanese blogger who came up with that idea. Yes Japanese blogger, not Singaporean. Deck used: Black knight dark gallis version

Match 1 vs Kenneth (Perfect declarer lockdown) OXO

Game 1: He had a bad hand of 5 normal monsters in hand so i summon stuff and concluded with tempest mage

Game 2: He had 1 perfect declarer and christia on the field, scrub.

Game 3: I sided in 2 sirrocos (yes sirrocos lol), 2 light mirror and 2 deck devastation virus. Sided sirroco to beat his declarer if he ever became greedy and decided to beat me with it. Also fodder for virus so me likes. Managed to use virus on him on 3rd turn and dropped his senju and other normal monsters and won.

Match 2 vs Aaron aka Blackie (Gladial Beast) OXX

Game 1: cold wave + dark armed gave me early advantage. then used dark creator to keep his herak at bay (though he eventually realized that fusing herak was kind of pointless. Ryko destroyed his herak and did stunts.

Game 2: he started by summoning laquari. I challenged him with a set gk spy. During his turn gladial trainer into bestiari contact fusing with his laquari. Gyzarus destroyed my gk spy and my only hope since i drew too many boss mobs including caius which had no tribute fodder.

Game 3: He had raiou, dimension fissure, and a gb on the field. My hand had 2 creators and some stupid stuff. Scrubbed. Inconsistency in deck spotted.

Match 3 vs Srydunnoname (Machiner Gadget) OO-

Game 1: He used gearframe to search for machiner fortress and discarded it with another machine to special summon it. DD crowed the fortress to prevent him for doing so. Subsequently set a tomato and he rammed and i searched a sangan. Sangan searched another ddcrow later on. He used pot of avarice and i dd crowed again. Then did dark creator swarm + trishula and won

Game 2: He sided in gadgets. He hd gearframe and machiner fortress on the field. Cold waved and synchroed kurokishian to steal his fortress. Thankfully kurokishian doesnt target. Beatdown to death after that.

Match 4 vs Jeff aka imba hades sama (Black Feather cheating mode) XOX

Game 1: Jeff's pro shuffling skills crit me for 10k. Drew too many boss monsters. Died.

Game 2: Quite a scrub hand cos too many boss monsters again, but thankfully was able to tribute into caius. Managed to beat him to death with caius.

Game 3: He had 2 set traps and 1 set monster. I had 1 face down ryko. I guessed that the set monster is vayu, i was right. So i wanted to tribute the ryko for caius. Ryko flipped to destroy a targeted trap, he chained the trap which was dustshoot and selected my caius zz. So i went into frustrated mode and tributed my poor ryko into a cyber dragon and beat his vayu. After many turns we were both down to very low lps. I was planning to use diabolic and birdman to synchro kurokishian to steal a monster but he mind crushed and called birdman when i summoned my diabolic out -_- so after a few more stalling turns, died to infernity death dragon.

Match 5 vs srydunnoname(Skill drain dual meta beat) XOX

Game 1: was beating him down to 3.6k with a kurokishian + a neos alius that i stole, when he activated skill drain, and summoned barbaros and everything went down for me.

Game 2: I was kiasu and sided in 3 royal decrees and 3 mei kous. Yes 3 decrees. I cheated. I didnt know decree was semi-ed. No really lol. Why wont u believe me! So i was heng enough to draw a decree and summoned trishula to end game.

Game 3: I think this was where my honest cheating really killed me. My starting hand: 3 royal decree , 2 dark creator, and 1 necro gardna. Subsequently draw was dark armed. Scrubbed after he had a cosmo and dd survivor on the field.

Cheating failed..But really, i didnt know that decree was semied lol. Sry about that.

Wasnt very pleased with today's results, seems like the deck is not very stable. But it was considerably fun to play, just that i didnt really have much god luck today. Think i need to come up with a different build, 38monsters + 5 spells = very little defence = free frag. Consistency is definitely a problem though. If not for the bad hands, maybe could do better. Diabolic loves me too much and i keep drawing 2 :(

Use chaos goddess to revive the already- summoned-before dark creator in grave to do pampers style otk with awesome looking monsters!

currently working on my black knight dark, still in the midst of researching and finding new methods of playing. noticed that its abit hard to vs skill drain/ gb due to the over reliance on monster effects due to my deck being 95% monster based.

Gallis is quite fun to play,allows random trishula/ caius material. One interesting situation in which i finished a duel was:

opponent (gb), lp:2700, field: 4 cards in backrow, 1 equeste face up.

me: wasted 3 dark creators to chariot/solemn, left with 2 gallis in hand and no cards on field.

so out of desperation, i used effect of 1st gallis, milled dark armed, opponent got burned 1.4k. used 2nd gallis, milled gorz, burned 1.4k, and won LOL.

for the sake of preserving my sanity in the current meta, i will show maximum hatred towards the gladiator beasts

just one quick post. i've been experimenting with new tech and expressing more hate for the current meta. how so, 3 dust tornadoes, thats how. and as for new tech, something that no one actually expected to work real well actually did.

pffft slow. everybody knows that. synchro summon trishugay, de-synchro for another round. if you were thinking that, it would show you have a low level of intelligence. just kidding. im nice to my readers. de-synchro lets you special summon the monsters used in the summon from the graveyard. think of it as another way to use infernity demon again, to retrieve the card missing in your loop. for example, you lack a necromancer to make trishugay. mirage revives your demon and beetle. demon searches for infernity gun. synchro summon any six-star synchro monster. de-synchro. demon comes back, looks for necromancer. infernity gun dumps necromancer in the grave. synchro for a six-star again. use gun to bring back demon and necromancer and start the trishugay loop. there are many situations that de-synchro helped, i just cant remember anymore at the moment. i wouldnt put a full playset though. well, expect a new decklist coming your way. until next time then.

to breeze, or not to breeze?

hey people, lennon here. just a post before i go down to see a local tourney. its the last one before the titanic sinks and kills a million lightlords and zombies. anyways, on to the subject. the shining darkness came with a lot of new blackfeather support cards, and one of the more noteworthy ones is this guy:

lets look at his effect shall we?

if this card is added from your deck to your hand by a spell, trap or effect monster, you can special summon this card. this card cannot be used for a synchro summon of a monster other than a "Black Feather" monster.

price-wise there's not much of an argument. its price is definately in the twenties, pretty high for a super rare. this reminds me of another card. vayu the big flag. vayu caused a pretty big hype in the beginning, then it died down for a while. then vayu turbo, or graveyard bf came into play, and after that every bf deck, regardless of it being graveyard based or not, played one or two copies of the card.

so comes the important question, to breeze or not to breeze? if you were to run breeze in your deck, how many do you run then?

vayu got its recognition after the ruling stated that oppression and effect negating cards could not affect vayu, since removing it and the other non-tuner monster was not a cost, hence even though cards like oppression and chariot could be activated, vayu could just go again, and again. it also helped that it has great synergy with shura, the azure flame. a vayu brought out by shura has its effects blanked, hence could be used for a synchro summon on the field, and later, vayu could be removed with a scirroco or another high level bf monster for another graveyard synchro. vayu also gave access to an easy lone silver wing, albeit it being effectless, by removing an armored wing from play. this ability allowed the black feathers to run oppression, since oppression doesnt affect them much, but helped them gain an egde over the metagame decks of that time (and prolly now as well)

vayu and breeze have much in common. for one, you wouldnt like to draw either of them in hand. they can only be used to bring out black feather synchros, and they're shura's best friends.
in my opinion, the purpose of breeze is to take the place of gale, who got restricted for being too strong. as many people have said, running breeze is kind of tricky in an oppression bf deck, but i think its just a matter of timing. i mean, you wouldnt search for breeze on purpose when you've got oppression open, unless it would kill your opponent if he paid the 800 points.

some of the ways you can put this guy to good use is by adding cards like sangan and reckless greed to your blackfeather deck, along with your black whirlwind, to create more opportunities for breeze to come out. like i said before, i feel breeze is there to replace your gales, so you shouldnt run more than two. one is fine, provided you've also added mistral to your deck, for shura to bring out. personally im running two copies of breeze in my deck, but due to the blatant abuse of smashing ground in the next meta, i dont think mr armored wing will staying on the field for very long.

so simply put, you should have, along with your gales and blizzards: 2 breeze 1 vayu or 1 breeze 1 vayu 1 mistral. you can change it around to your fancy, like 2 vayus and stuff. running two copies of breeze hasnt caused me any troubles (bad hands, bad draws etc.) as of yet. will let you guys know if anything changes. that'll be all. until next time then.

Did not go to khatib today despite having finished my exams yesterday. Instead, was still considering what deck to play.

I've been playing aggressive decks throughout my whole 'career' in ygo, BFs, Zombies, Teledads, so i thought that maybe this time, i'd play an anti meta.

Unfortunately, i sold my album to Jacky 2 months ago, so i have very little cards to form a deck. So, gathering what little cards i have left, i present:

The purpose of this deck is to gain card advantage through lacooda and dual spark, and using such card advantage for cards like magic jammer. I initially had the idea of running raigeki breaks over magic jammer, but i figured that magic jammer was the more unpredictable and possibly more versatile in this deck. Do note that since i play oppression, i did not include starlight road inside this deck. I hate to play cards which conflict each other. Yes, i also think it's dumb to run dimension fissure and rescue cat in the same gladial beast deck. Also, magic jammer serves to protect my traps from destructive traps such as heavy storm and trunade in the absence of starlight road.

Tragoedia was also another deviant idea. As all of the monsters in this deck are lvl 4 mobs, i decided that i would just include this in the deck to take advantage of lacooda's card drawing advantage.

Trap hole was added due to the normal-summon reliant meta that it currently is. Bfs and Gbs rely greatly on normal summons, disrupting their normal summon for a turn can affect their game adversely. Well, not as if all decks dont rely on normal summon, but decks such as bfs and gbs have an added disadvantage if you disallow their normal summon. This fact is also true especially since black whirlwind is semi limited. Yes they can chain icarus to their normal summon. Dark bribe says howdy. Trap hole also serves to deter potential lacooda killers.

dimensional prison was left at 1. I must admit that i dont really like passive cards. I prefer to stop people from summoning (ok more of destruction upon summoning), rather than waiting for them to atk. However, 1 prison was still included cos we all know how effective it can be at times against stardust and such.

I initially made a skill drain/ oppression set up, but since that was really quite cliche, i decided to go with the lacooda idea instead. This was the previous decklist that i made:

Yea i know, it kinda looks like dd eatos doesnt it, except that i did not add eatos and the essential elements are replaced by oppression meta beat elements. i personally think that main-ing dimensional fissure isnt so worthwhile in this meta, considering that only 1 deck relies on graveyard advantage now, mainly infernity. Ok, bfs have vayu and qalat, and frogs are starting to see more play as well, but i couldnt care less.

this is basically your every day 8star and 6star monsters, who make up the core of almost every synchro pile, tuned to fit the needs of TRinity.3 trishugays and d-arms facillitate the summoning of 9-10 star synchos. infernity death dragon is chosen over dark end dragon because it can be revived via mirage and gun. a 3k dragon that can be brought back. so strong. 2 gaias are added to increase the number of 6stars available for summon. trust me. when you dont have infernity necromancers in your grave, and you are left with are demons and beetles, they're your only hope at an otk.

so, why the weird names?

i dunno. well, when i summon trishula in the wake of a trunade/storm/trap stun, i have sephiroth's theme playing in my head. (that's one winged angel, for those who dont know). its all cool and stuff. like sephiroth. EHEM. ok on to gaia. imagine you're in the zombie era. you have a zombie carrier and a goblin zombie, but whats this? a set card in the opponents back row? your brionac doesnt have priority, and your loop would fail if your brionac gets lost to a bottomless trap hole. so what DO you do? you test the waters, with the brave Gaia! so there you are, Test- Water Knight. sorry guys, but there will not be any silk and milk, cuz they scrub to gbs too easily. i'll think of something fun soon. until next time then.

i tested his build. it died to frogs. i figured if i wasnt running gorz, i would at least run some roars to prevent myself from dying to some otk. infernity inferno is a very effective way to get the things you want out. raigeiki break is for kaiseris, whom i hate a lot. theres no point roaring, then allowing him to tag for kaiseris the next turn. blowing up one of his monsters buys you a turn more, since his bestiari would most prolly be facedown. i guess the reason he wasnt playing either dark armed or diabolic guy would be that he was afraid of them becoming dead draws. looking at the deck list, there are enough discard cards to prevent that from happening, although it does happen sometimes. important lesson learnt? activate infernity inferno during your draw phrase, in case a surprise monster comes along to spoil your day. i will test it against the current decks in the metagame, and if TRinity isnt performing as well as i expected it to, im going to sit in my room and pout for a long time, cuz im clean outta ideas on how to make an infernity deck. until next time then.

the infernity decklist may take sometime to come up with, since i havent actually found the better variant of it. i guess decklist combining wasnt as easy as i thought it was. ok, lets sidetrack for a bit. lets say you like trishugay. you simply love the idea of landing a three headed dragon and causing your opponent despair, especially if you can do it over, and over, and over. (three overs, since you can only have 3 copies of trishugays in your extra pile) Oh no, whats this? you dont have enough money to buy infernity archfiend? you dont like the idea of being handless? well theres an alternative for you. i'll give you three guesses. no?

some of you might be wondering, "what the hell?" honestly that was my first reaction when i played against this deck. versus infernities, it was a matter of who got their god hand first. using my bf, sitting behind my oppression made me safe. it also helped that arms wing kicks treeborn butt. the frogs were faster and more lethal than i expected them to be. without oppression i would probably be dead many times over. after sitting and deck-scanning with zhen yang, who ran the deck, i sorta got the gist of it. basically:

des frog+beelzefrog+fishborg gunner= trishula. then you use the broken effect of subsitoad to loop until you get your 3 trishulas. you can make dewloren, and other bullcrap, since frogs come in a wide array of stars, making them good synchro materials. and here's the breakdown of the team. frogs are like power rangers. they're slimy, they come in many colors, and they combine to make a kick-ass megazord (TRISHUUUUGAAAAAYYY MEEEGAAAZOORRRDDD). wait, scratch the first one.

Substitoad
or Ikegaeru in japanese. he's the main engine of the deck, making it possible for obscene deck filtering, thereby treating your pot of avarice like you would an allure, or d-draw. they're the reason the otk is even possible in the first place. via field presence increasing cards such as scape goat, reverence toad , inferno reckless summoning, scapegoat and dandylion tokens, they bring out all the non-tuner materials required. they can also setup an annoying lock-stall with 2 malenlightened frogs and a flip flop frog or two.

Malenlightened Frog
their searcher ability helps Ikegaeru get on the field faster, if they actually died. a 2k defence is always respectable. having two of them would make you invulnerable to attack, setting up a decent stall. no, not that kind of stall. the one with a lot of draw-passes.

Beelze Frog
your only way to get the trishugay megazord out, because its the only three starred frog available. its like the spleen. i dont know what the heck it does, but you cant remove it, cuz its important to your body.

Swap Frog
once again, screw the tcg card naming department. its called Kigaeru in japanese, meaning ghost or demon frog. what did the tcg name it? swap frog. wow. yeah i know, no angels, no demons, no boobs. tcg rule. but seriously guys. swap frog? this guy acts like a knight of the end for aqua monsters, dumping Ikegaeru to be retrieved via salvage. his ability to grant another normal summon to get that retrieved Ikegaeru out is like icing on the cake.

Des Frog
nothing much to see here. he's (it's?) just responsible for the main bulk of stars for a synchro summon. 1.9k makes it a decent beater as well, if needed.

Reverence Toad
i dont know why, but this reminds me so much of naruto(believe it!). note he is not a frog, so Ikegaeru cant bring him out. . he's one of the first things you dump with Kigaeru's effect, the other being treeborn frog. what this guy does is he provides you with one more monster on the field which Ikegaeru can release. field presence up= good.

Flip Flop Frog
say his name real fast. i can do it about errm. 5 times? he's your alternate option, in case operation trishugay fails, and you need something to hold your opponent off. FFF+ 2 malenlightened frogs= indestructible wall of return three opponent monsters to hand. well, relatively indestructable. (damn you, kaiseris)

Fishborg Gunner
the main tuner used in this deck. his ability to revive himself is one of the important things that sustains the loop.

Debris Dragon
did we mention trishula is a DRAGON-TYPE monster?

Dandylion
foolish burial it+ikegaeru= two frogs. debris+dandylion= black rose.

Treeborn Frog
classic stuff.

basically you need to have 3 other monsters other than ikegaeru, which ikegaeru will then change around to fufill the forming of the megazord. pot of avarice ensures that the monsters that you need in the deck stays in the deck. this deck is pretty fun to play with, although i dont think it'll be able to kill gbs without sidedecking. the truth is, it was pretty stressful playing against this deck the first time around, since i have no idea what it would, or could do. take it for a spin, and let me know if you guys come up with better variants. once again, i take no credit for the creation of this deck, and neither should you, well, unless you did actually make that deck yourself. i'll try my hand at brown silk and milk the next time around. until next time then.

an awesome future for us all

i chanced upon this on shriek. guess what people, infernities topped a tourney. my first thoughts were: were there no gb's or bf's in the tourney? then i realised the meta over there may not be the same as the one over here in singapore. nonetheless, its gives infernity players( like yours truly) hope over here in singapore. it also made me realise that an infernity deck is able to run on 14 monsters alone. get this. 14 monsters. the biggest difference between the guy's deck and mine, would be that he didnt run draw-discards like hand severing and dark world dealing. instead he ran infernity inferno, which fuels his graveyard all the same. he also beefed up his back-row defenses, by running bottomless trap hole, mirror force , torrential tribute and 3 raigeki breaks. it also helped that he ran 2 dust tornadoes as well. would all this be enough to stand up to the evils of the gbs and the bfs? only playtesting would tell. and here is the guy's deck list. well done, mr infernity man. well done.

by the way, the title refers to the banlist. the first thing gabriel told me was "gardna at one now" HELL YEAH. no more blockblockblockburialblockblockblock. no more blocking to the extent of pissing someone off. tragodia the annoying cockroach finally got what was coming to him. or her. whatever. that card should be restricted like a million years ago. aaaannnd my favorite part of it is that the lightlords and the undeads hugged each other as the titanic sank in the freezing depths. bye judgment. it was fun letting you blow my stuff up while it lasted. the bfs and the gbs are probably dominating the next meta, seeing how smashing ground is unrestricted, and new support for the bfs are being released in the next expansion.

well well, enough ranting then. sorry for the long wait. but finally, here it is. a fully functional infernity deck! its the most stable i made so far, and the only one that'll survive a gladiator beast deck, i hope. at least it stands a very good chance. okok enough talking. here. we. go.

here it is then. not much explanation is needed. hold off until god hand visits you(its not that hard actually) then do your thing. you have your 7 draw-discard cards to fuel your graveyard. the 5 dont-hit-me-please cards are to hold of the evil gbs. honestly i've given it some thought. this gets raped pretty easily by fossil dyna or dd eatos, if they have their dd vag- i mean fissure out. that will depend one your sideboard. aaand the phantoms just mean more mirages for you.

im ok with netdeckers, but please, do not netdeck, then go around telling others you made this deck, or that you have a better version of the deck, build ON the deck itself. give the blog credit, and your "most creative deck" prize. ;). that will be all today. till next time then.

as said in the previous post, im going to share my dd eatos gb decklist with the lot of you. (you didnt actually think i spent money on a playset of eatos for fun did you?). due credits are given to clarence, because i cross referrenced my list with his, and looked at his list for ideas as well. like he said,this is more of an aggressive trap based deck, but still being really careful about landing monsters, as they make up a small portion of your deck.

the only modification i made to that list is taking out claymore dud and starlight road and a copy of the proving ground, and adding 2 copies of raiou, one laquari and a trapstun. i used to play dimension fissure gladiators. before i gave up due to the frequency of lack of monsters during important times. picture this, your opening hand has 5 magic/trap support and one monster. awesome ? no. one fissure and your chariots suddenly becomes useless. drawing chariots when you are about to die is pretty much the worse thing ever. the adding of laquari is to facilitate the use of maxed-out chariots. raious are a pretty good tech against many decks in the current meta. it also acts as a good beatstick, with its 1.9k attack points. dimension fissure+raiou= fail? on the contrary, if this is pulled off on the first turn, graveyard dependent decks such as zombies and lightlords might find it hard to pull anything off. raiou also effectively blocks things like black whirlwind, making it a must for your opponent to take raiou out before doing anything else.

this deck, like any normal gladiator beasts, gets hindered by cards such as royal oppression and skill drain. this is where 2 trap stuns come in play. dd eatos gb has more destructive power comapred to a normal eatos deck, but the average eatos will have their skill drains and starlight roads and what-have-you traps. trap stun provides a safer environment for your kaiseris to land and blow their stuff up. dual spark might be a problem, but my body as a shield provides cover, if you draw it.eatos has larger creatures in the beginning, that may prove to be a problem, but once you start the ball rolling, the advantage will most probably be yours. i'll give this deck some proper testing and let you guys know how it goes, and with the sidedeck as well. until next time then.

I went down to the KOF tourney @ khatib the other day. Although i wasnt able to take part (sadly) in the tourney due to work and a lack of a decent third player, i realised many things, like dimension prison and magical cylinder being a side deck tech for the current meta. and this guy

this card has become more popular nowadays, due to the existance of annoying traps like starlight road. skill drain and royal opression running rampant. the nihonjins are running this guy mainboard in their gladiator beasts, and that paid off in several tourneys. its not hard to see why. picture this:

gyazarus special summoned via contact fuse, hits a skilldrain/oppression/bottomless/CED. trap stun and blow up their skilldrain, oppression, causing endless despair to your opponent. seriously, it sucks to see that your oppression failed and some guy's about to hit you with a gyazatus, which they will prolly tag out to bring equest and his annoying friends laquari or hoplomus. equest will proceed to recover chariot and laquari/hoplomus will prove nigh unkillable. their backrow makes hitting them impossible, and you wont dare to use your lightning vortex, because you are afraid of starlight road. chariot will then rape you. this story, imo, should make true singapore ghost stories. on to the commercials:

stopping that bloody oppression with a card that doesnt even cost a fraction of the card you are about to summon, then beating the opponents face in with an obscene amount of synchro monsters in rarities that i didnt even know were available in : PRICELESS.

there are somethings money can buy. to make sure those things actually hit the field, theres TRAP STUN"

trap stun also stops starlight road, blocks countertraps such as chariots, protects your monsters from the evils of mirror force and torrential, the list goes on. you might be thinking, why the entry is titled "the eatos of inspiraiton". the reason is simple. i bought a playset of eatos and it made me decide to get off my lazy butt to post something. technically im still sitting, but at least im posting. okok. on to another topic. here's the poor man's answer to starlight road:

its an old tech, but its close enough. sure, its doesnt get you a stardust to facilitate your i-heavy-storm-myself-to-starlight-road-myself-and-bring-out-a-stardust-to-kill-you needs. sure,its not all shiny and stuff. but know this, it costs much MUCH less. until the english tin that has starlight road in it comes out, this is a good substitute for the people who cant afford a playset of starlight road as of yet(like yours truly).

lets compare the two:

it brings out a stardust dragon, which will act as a sort of second protection in case the opponent tries blowing up your stuff again. stardust can also be used to hit people.

its a trap, meaning it cannot be used immediately to save your butt.

stopped by oppression.

it cannot protect your monsters from spot removals like fissure and the like, when you really need it.

quick play magic, meaning it is able to save your monsters from stuff like mirror force or bottomless the turn you draw it.

its not able to bring out any big awesome monsters to act as a second shield/

most importantly, it cannot protect cards in your back row.

another random(ok maybe not so) blogpost. the infernity decklist cant be posted just yet., coz we're working on a super special awesome secret decklist that we need to use to pwn other people before we post it on our blog. yeah well if someone else does it first, then errrm. errrm. shit happens yeah?

last saturday i tested the bdsm decklist with a few decks, albeit them being casual matches, it lets me know whether i should bring the deck to a tourney to embarass myself with.

Finally found time to post. i've been busy with studies and the stupid JAE thing and didnt have time to post. and no, the blog is not dead. its hibernating. and yes, i do think our tagboard is pretty interesting. okok so errm for this post, i'll attempt to make a machine deck with cards from the structure deck, since EVERYONE is doing it. (note: im just using the cards i have. i know ancient gear dragon is the awesome win but I DONT HAVE ANCIENT GEAR F%@KING DRAGON. unless some one wants to sell me. @ a price that is not considered extortion)

OK? anyways between the gadgets,recycler, gearframe and the front line, this deck filters pretty quickly. the key cards i would say has to be the 2 continuous magics. they make your monsters big and allows the deck to become toolbox-ish. have fun trying this deck out.

First post after so long. Been busy with studies, since it's the final semester of the final year of my course. Project deadline count is approximately 2-3 per week. Tests come as frequently as once every 2 weeks. Life starts to get tough as you approach 20. True story.

This, my friends, my fellow tragic earthlings, is the graph of life (forgive the sketchy drawing). Yes, it is true to all human beings, and this is your fate once you enter society and become one of them. Soon you'll get a job, get married, get laid (do note that this may also occur prior to your marriage, but to be a good church boy, please refrain from such inhumane actions unless u have already booked a place in hell, so i'll see u there.), and also have some kids. Ok fine, im just sad that i'll turn 20 this year huh. 1/4 of my natural lifespan is gone!

ok fine. i havent playtested it yet. But if my superb mental calculations are right, then it should work the same way as the usual zombie loop. consistency will be a problem nonetheless. But even if this method doesnt work, i still have another deck will be able to summon 3, and im not ready to release the decklist yet. No its not infernitrishugay deck. But since lennon is so excited over infernity, i did mention to him that it is possible to do multiple trigay combo, though i think baha and the rest of the whole world were prolly thinking of the same thing. and one very important thing i noticed: infernity = no hands, raigeki break their infernity gun = win.

he gets his own summoning phrase, awesome huh. a staple card against the evils of your opponent's backrow. the negation of stuff like bottomless traphole, torrential tribute or mirror force allows you to better pull of the otk you've been looking forward to. we'll want one of this. too much of a good thing makes you a happy man. wait, thats not right.
PS: ( a stardust brainwashed is as good as a stardust summoned)

Red Demon Dragon(or red dragon's archfiend, whatever floats your boat)

yes,yes he has his own summoning phrase too. i dont happen to remember it. he blows up stuff like marshmellow, and makes searchers lose their abilities. DRAGON SMASH! one of this will do.

Colossal Fighter( or gigantech, whatever floats your boat)

anti-honest/qualat. i've seen this guy take out 2 red demons. he can also take goyo out and come back for an extra hit. this guy is also a plant deck's worse enemy. camilia can do nuts against this guy. we'll also have one of this.

pretty much a synchro deck staple. not many people run more than one.

Mental Sphere Demon ( or thought ruler archfiend, whatever floats your boat)

helps to negate those pesky book of moons and dimension prisons and shrinks and controllers. the list goes on.

A.O.J Castastor/Magical Android

ah yes, our favourite healing bitch. catastor is pretty handy against decks that run honest as well. take your pick. i'd go with castastor though.

in today's episode, i'll be running you guys through the infernity cards that we have now, and those that will be coming out. we'll be ranking the good, the "i can live with this, yes" and the" OMG THIS SUCKS WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME"

one of the core cards in the deck. pretty essential for the gun/archfiend cheating synchro loop. dont know what that is? check out baha's blog. the 1st effect might not seem so good, and although it seems pretty situational, remember that if you draw this guy in the course of a card destruction, reload, or when you activate hand severing when there are exactly 2 cards in hand, you get to special summon him, so it ends up as a free monster in these situations. pretty much a win in my opinion.

ok imagine if deep sea diva and rescue cat were insects. now imagine if they have a baby. you'd get this guy. couple that with the fact that it can be easily searched out via the archfiend, brought out of the grave with the gun(which we will be reviewing later) , mirage( same) and necromancer (same), it pretty much makes it as one of the better cards of the archetype. many synchros in a turn, anybody?

im on the fence with this one. its effect is pretty good, but the handless clause is kind of a turn off. you have to top deck it, or if you special summon this guy with gun or mirage, he doesnt turn into defence position. and lv3 isnt actually a very nice level for a syncro summon.

oh look, another tuner. its not as powerful as the beetle is, but it can be brought out by one for one. and by the way, if this guy was in your graveyard, wont your opponent have enough common sense to summon more than one monster and beat this guy back into the grave again? then again, if you DO pull his effect off, you'll potentially get a 4star tuner.

Game 1: we both had nothing to do so quite peaceful for a few turns. He used goblin zombie to whack a few times and milled2 mezukis for me LOL. then suddenly a wild zombie carrier appeared! and then death kaiser snatching session and i stole his carrier and didnt want to synchro cos i didnt want to let him have the carrier in his grave to death kaiser me lol. then managed to beat him to death.

Game 2: cant really rmb this one, but i rmb still the same death kaiser snatching here and there and everywhere

Match 2 vs Mgs hatred deck (Bahagay)

Game 1: bad hand :X and 2 legions is cheat.

Game 2: had stardust and dark armed but he managed to destroy both and i used dark end to send his big big gigantic 2.9k mgs synchro thingy and won.

Game 3: why baha always draw rescue cat! i was hoping he would use airbellun to drop my diabolicguy cos i had a carrier in hand and after synchroing i would have 3 darks(inclusive of another dark in grave) for dark armed. in the end he dropped my burial from d.d. -.- then diabolic was in my hand all along with no way of dumping it into the grave. scrub.

Game 1: quite funny, trago stole his bora, then just summoned gardna, revived 1 mezuki and whacked him for a total of 3.4k for the final blow lol.

Game 2: i hope his bad hand streak hadnt ended, but i was quite afraid of oppression, so i sided 3 catastrophe cos i knew he had no starlight roads :x and he bribe or solemn my catastrophe i think i still earn lols. in the end i didnt draw any, and my last desperate attempt of setting a ryko got me into a full anger-filled bora + sirroco pumping attack to my dog. cry.

Game 3: bad hand. full magic hand with 1 monster. and he had to trap dustshoot away -.- scrub.

Final tourney comments: always lose first match after i make it to top 8/top 10. god is saying: "DIE NOOB!"

today's participation has been errrm, by luck. seriously. i rolled a dice. even, i join. odd, no. considering that, its kinda ironic that i actually had better results this time around then when i actually WANTED to take part and win something. enough small talk, time for reviews.

it was pretty uneventful until i used god bird attack. he activated starlight road which i countered with opression, which he countered with solemn judgment. he got his stardust and i got a face full of damage. he had a sirocco and stardust on the field. i took the stardust with brain control on my next turn and used it to negate a bottomless traphole on my shura. i couldnt actually remember what happened, but i remember killing him with a vayu-ed armored wing.

game 2
oh.wow.i dont remember. LOL.(must be selective memory loss)

game 3
pretty much trading punches here and there. we both sided out opression and his starlight road was no where to be seen( lucky). he hit me with shura, brought out a vayu and synchro-ed into our favourite healing bitch. i then hit his healing bitch with my own shura, made my own bitch and a arms wing. it was beatdown to victory after that.

match 2(anti-meta)
he has his own youtube channel! he's famous! he's amos! the last time i faced him in a tourney was like what, a year ago? i lost to him due to my mistake. too greedy. ok review time

delta crow did its job. he was low on monsters for this game.beat down for the win

i went against gabriel, the co-author of our blog for this match. not very fun going against a friend. i think rick manual pairing lol.

he beat me to death with and interesting array of monsters, including a gardna and my own bora the spear. man i hate tragodias in zombie decks.

i made a 5.3k bora which ran into his face down card, which turned out to be a ryko. ouch.

game3
the game breaking moment would have to be early game trap dust shoot. it showed me how horrible his hand was and that he had no tragodias or gorz. i controlled with opression and beat him for victory.

We got kicked rather early lol. so no mood to remember anything much. but here are my matches:

game 1: magic trap hand, cudnt do anything, he kept beating me down with barbaros + skill drain. scrub.

game 2: he sided out starlight road and i sided in malevolent catastrophe. drew catastrophe and used, blasted oppression and stuff, then beat him down and nearly did victory dance.

game 3: i was betting that he would side in starlight road, but i was so greedy that i didnt want to side out catastrophe for decree. in the end i had otk hand and 1 catas face down, used catas and he starlight road. scrub.. then i summoned gigatech and stalled for god knows how many turns. he cudnt kill my gigatech, i didnt dare to whack him cos i knew he had dprison. when i was down to my last 10cards, i drew ryko and set, managed to bomb something impt but i rmb he activated another, scrub. thereafter i lost by deckout. first time i lost by deck out using zombies -.- scrub.

all 3 of us lost to team lee kuan yew, very "hsien"

game 1: first turn dimension fissure and set 1 monster. i had magic trap hand so i ended. he then flipped summoned his reaper and hit me, nearly scrubbed. somehow managed to summon a stardust and dark armed and used dark armed cheating skill to win.

game 2: sided castastrophe which proved to be useful. bomb his backrow and nearly got killed due to his irritating creature swaps with my synchros. then dark armed came and gave me the cheating win.

Game 1: first turn gold sarc to find count down, and had all the answers in his hand to all my otk possibilities. scrub.

game3: stupid hand. 3 burial from d.d. and 2 allure. how to play against countdown deck -.- but thankfully i was able to stall since he is a stall deck himself, kept randomly summoning diva and turtle to hit him, and use decree to stop his traps. he gold sarc mst and used it on my decree 2 turns later. by then he was down to 900 lp and i was quite afraid that i will not make it. Top deck caius to target his battle fader and burn 1000 lp for cheating win lols.

my overall personal performance: 1 lose, 2 wins
team performance: 2 lose, 1 win

Zombies were fun while it lasted. i think it's nearing the time of the meta where i start to awaken from the self deception that zombies will not be touched in the next banlist. i think a few of you have probably felt the same about some decks that are imba and you love them so much because self touching was just too orgasmic to ever play another deck. to be honest, zombie decks are fast, and are fun to play with, but for some reason even though i see several zombie players managing to overcome cosmo decks, i tend to lose really badly. it sucks when you draw a perfect letstakeapictureofthishandandpostitontheblogsothateveryonecanseehowproyouare starting hand and then a cosmo comes into the picture and makes u feel like the new girl u brought home to screw actually had a dick.

so i decided to form a cosmo deck of my own. dimensional eatos! credit goes to shriek for my netdecking needs. and also seeing how alex managed to own with it, well this is alex the angryboy who made everyone realize that luck is free, so will need to test it out myself.

I have everything I need for the dimensional eatos deck, except 3x starlight roads, which i MIGHT be getting. i just might get them, if not for financial strains that i am currently facing, i would probably be owning 3 in my album. Should i spend that 200+ to get 3 starlight roads, or save up for a psp? this is actually quite a simple decision to many, but it has left me in quite a predicament. If anyone has 3 and wants anything from my noob buy/sell list, pls pm me!

Deck used: Diva undead, same decklist as last week cos lazy to edit

Position: 5th place and not mentioned on sg-ygo QQ

Match 1: Hopeless dragon (Keng Guan)

Round 1- I rmb a future fusion on his first turn with 3 wyverns and 1 redmd and 1 dragon ice and he end his turn. did not draw any combos so stalled awhile til i got killed by red eyes and dark simorgh

Round 2- his dark simorgh prevented him from setting cards (though we eventually found out it only applies to opponent). so i somehow managed to kill him with collosal fighter and caius if i rmb correctly

Round 3- he had a blank field and i didnt draw burial, but i saw that i could still otk, so i had a set-up of goyo, brionac,goblin zombie and zombie master which would hit for 8.1k when i used my goblin zombie to hit, he spec summoned battle fader T_T so i end turn without any cards in my hand. next turn he summoned massive beatsticks and i scrubbed

Match 2: Undead synchro (banana)

Round 1: cant really rmb what happened. something like brain control my caius or something and summoned something big to hit my 5k+ lifepoints and i scrubbed.

Round 2: Managed to caius out his goblin zombie and swing for early advantage. I noticed i was at quite a disadvantage since he has gardnas while i dont play them. so i had to stall a few turns to get rid of them to otk.

Round 3: i think i managed to caius out his gob zob again lols. did dirty self touching a few turns thereafter.

Match 3: plant beat (anthony a.k.a dqplant)

Round 1: Somehow managed to otk. cant rmb in detail.

Round 2: was abit afraid of tragoedia in his hand, so i stalled abit. but i realised if i had rushed earlier can probably win. So he punched me a couple of times with camellia and i died a slow and terrible death.

Round 3: Epic match. Had 4 synchro to otk him. Hit him with first synchro and tragoedia came out. used dark armed to destroy and then end turn. Next turn he set monster and spell and end. I hit with another synchro thinking i won. He summoned another trago. destroyed it with dark armed. Next turn he set 1 dprison, mirror force, and 1 monster. I have no more bullets in graveyard for dark armed's effect, so i did something stupid by swinging my stardust at his set monster first. he activated dprison again my stardust. so i was greedy and used my remaining monsters to hit and instead got screwed in backside by mirror force. so i was pissing my pants at the thought of camellia, so i synced a collosal fighter and end. After a few turns of stalling, managed to caius out his set monster. he had 2.6k lifepoints. i did something stupid by atking with caius first instead of collosal fighter, he summoned gorz -.-. he was down to 200 lifepoints and eventually he did not draw his mark of rose and mind control in time and lost. thank gdness.

Match 4: Whirlwind bf Oppression (Jeric)

Round 1: Did some dirty touching after destroying his spell/traps.

Round 2: Made mistake by not torrentialing him and then got beatdown down real badly

Round 3: Managed to lightning vortex and heavy storm him i rmb. so he was left with very little cards, synced a gigatech and ended. He blocked with arms wing but i summoned a zombie master and hit my giga against his arms wing and used zombie master direct ftw.

Match 5: Cosmo beat/anti meta (Jess the eternal cosmo man) : Top 5 match

Round 1: started first with a dick hand. 2 caius and the rest all spells. I was so afraid of his cosmo that i first turn foolish my diabolic in grave for future use. During his turn, he direct atk with airbellum and dropped my book of life. Managed to stall awhile but still died.

Round 2: He had bad hand i guess. Just kept beating with caius til he died.

Round 3: Cant rmb how i died ._.

Prize won : Avenging knight parshate ._.

went to take part in the khatib tourney on saturday, but didnt have as much luck as my counterpart( skill, he would say). anyways, here are the match reviews. i brought my oppression bf, like i did in the asia tournament.

game 1: vs GB(hongli)

second time i had to face in in the first match of a tournament, first being asia.
match 1
controlled my monster hand with a decent backrow. died when god bird was solemned. did not draw any
magic/trap removal. scrub.

match 2
won this one, due to an appropriate follow up to a solemned torrential tribute. also did not draw any magic/trap removal.

match3
lost this one, due to error with book of moon, and mirror force being solemned. yes, he solemned every match. no, i still did not draw any magic/trap removal.

game2: oppression bf (random guy)
match 1
opponent pulled of 2 vayus. on hindsight could have goyo-ed his vayu. but what the hey. i drew 2 god bird attacks, he drew 3 blackwhirlwinds. no, heavy storm and giant turnade were still having their off day. did not draw a monster in the end, and was killed by his lone silver wing. as the other random guy would say, "shit happens"

match2
lost to a top deck sirocco. when he pulled it off i said "i knew it". he was like, how could you have known. because thats the only card that would kill me in that situation. curse blizzard's small butt! sigh, maybe next time.

Round 1: he had gigaplant and activated supervis but i raigeki breaked his supervis, did dirty self touching the next turn

Round 1: he had zombie carrier in grave so i was quite excited. did the deathkaiser loop but did not have burial so just beatdown. he had gardna in grave so cudnt really otk him anyway. he swarmed and otked me the next turn.

Round 2: sided light mirror and he sided out carrier lols. set light mirror and end. he summoned lumina and threw cost for effect and i chained mirror and he chained mst!! next turn i set another mirror but abit too late, he had a field full of monsters. i summoned decisive arms with zombie master, gob zob, and carrier, and i was so gan jiong i forgot to search for mezuki -.- so i got rid of some monsters in his hand and beat him. he chained beckoning light and took back honest and killed me with it. scrub.

Match 3: Whirlwind bf oppression (sry dunno your name)

Round 1: He had the early advantage starting first and using whirlwind to search stuff to eventually use it to allure away -.- i thought all hope was lost with that big black sirroco on the field and i was afraid he had qalat, so i tested with my massive trago and thank gdness nothing happened. Annoying trago beatdown a few turns after then concluded with massive zombie self touching orgasm.

Round 2: i was afraid of massive bf swarming, so i went hamji mode and sided 2 lightning vortex (1 3d vortex courtesy of lennon who is the other author of this blog). i drew 1 vortex and 1 trunade. during 4th turn, used trunade, then vortexed his sirroco and threw mezuki as cost. self touched for an orgasmic win.

Match 4: Mgsneko (Baha)

Round 1: He started first and used necrovalley then swarmed whole field then used royal tribute QQ. Imo baha hid cards in his underwear! he then synchroed a stardust and i had much trouble getting rid of it and scrubbed.

Round 2: Did not side deck cos i lost hope lol. First few turns quite a stalemate. Til i drew my book of lifes and foolish burial to finally pleasure myself.

Round 3: i think baha had a bad hand. he flooded field with tricky and cerberal. Used turtle to beat his cerberal then stalemate session again. after much trouble, used trago to control his monster, then sync brionac to bounce necrovalley and goyo to steal his tricky to make arcanite mage. baha set raigeki break and end his turn but he knew i had a call of the living dead face down and conceded.

*Thereafter i left due to my old man waiting outside the shop giving me the people's eyebrow cos i have a family thing i have to attend to at home, so let baha proceed to next match*

Overall i think i did fine today. Could have went on and maybe get 3rd place or higher but ah, theres always more opportunities. Zombie self touching got boring, might change deck soon.

Went to khatib today because i was on mc and felt really bored. Brought my whirlwind bf deck to play test. since this blog is not publicized yet, i think i feel comfortable enough on posting the decklist:

actually did quite alright against mirror match. the redundancy of oppression in mirror matches is quite depressing. but it proved useful against lightlords.

vs lightlord (initial 3 matches) ~summarized version~

1st game

swarmed field with lots of bf + armored wing = cheating skill

2nd game

scrubbed to multi celestia + judgment dragon + beckoning light

3rd game

1 qalat and 1 gale in hand +2 whirlwind in hand + 1 arms wing and 1 sirroco in grave + opponent left with 6k+ life.

summoned qalat and searched for 2 vayu. special summoned gale to tune for brionac and discarded 2 vayu then spec summoned armored wing and arms wing for the cheating smelly win.

In subsequent matches i got beaten real badly by the neverending persistence of judgment dragon. lucklord lived up to its name when i used decisive arms to discard his jd from his hand, and he drew another jd the next turn to kill me.

after much scrubbing to lightlord, decided to revert to undead.

havent tested this build. i previously added caius but was against the thought of drawing too many high lvl monsters in this deck. I also added 2 my body as a shield to prevent my cards from being hit my bottomless trap holes and torrential tribute (especially brionac). added summon priest for a speedier zombie master synchro-ing synergy with the other zombies.

testing time this sat at weekly khatib tourney!!

first post! baha brought the EXTRA WIN deck to the asia tourney last sunday, pretty surprising though, i didnt think anyone would bring that deck. i honestly thought it could go pretty far. but oh well. this is another variation of the extra win deck, but this time, banking on the "3 draws=sudden death match" rule. less talking, more decklist posting

i havent actually tested this deck yet, but it should work. basically you accelerate your draw with lacooda, reckless , legacy and upstart goblin. you increase the lifepoint difference with gift card, solemn, goblin, final countdown, then you activate self destruct button for the win, i mean the draw. stall cards are pretty much the same. sidedeck would probably be the same too, although there has to be an answer to psycho shocker and royal decree. assuming i can actually find the cards( damned frozen soul) needed, you can expect to see this deck in the upcoming khatib cc tourney. Match review up next ( i hope)
